I saw this post in a Facebook group I’m in and simply had to share: this is so true for many thing in our children’s lives.
Parents have become a lot more protective than our own parents were and we learnt through success and failure, from climbing on a playground to setting your alarm clock to learning that if you don’t do your homework, you must sort this with your teacher, not mum or dad. We want to protect our children from being hurt but don’t see that in the long run, they have to learn to cope not just with success but also with failure.
