Heart Disease in Teenagers

The fact that our sedentary lifestyle is not a healthy lifestyle, is not new. The prolonged sitting we do as part of our modern lifestyle is related to an increased risk for heart disease, obesity or type II diabetes.

A recently published study by Dublin City University showed that teenage boys with low levels of fitness already suffer from heart disease. That’s shocking and very worrying.

The consequence should be to get your teenager moving and away from screens. Moving just for a few minutes regularly throughout the day, already has a positive impact on health, also for teenagers.
