Chest Compression Playlist
Germany is currently celebrating “Resuscitation Week”, raising awareness about the life saving steps in case of a cardiac arrest. A person dies from cardiac arrest every 2 minutes. The initiative under the patronage of the Bundesministerium für Gesundheit (ministry for health) was presented in the Morgen Magazin of ARD – Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der BRD and ZDF.
When did you last practice your life saving skill of chest compressions? No CPR workshop is complete without every participant putting their hands on a manikin’s chest and feeling the resistance when compressing the chest down 5 to 6 cm.
You cannot do anything wrong! But you CAN save a life!
Not sure about the speed of the chest compressions? Apart from the classic “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees, there are many other songs with the rhythm of approx. 100 beats per minute. Check out this playlist by New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
